The Nazzaro Center is happy to announce that applications for its first ever scholarship program are now available!

Not to be confused with the North End Against Drugs (NEAD) scholarship program, the Nazzaro Center Scholarship has a few key requirement differences. The biggest one is that the Nazzaro Center Scholarship program is only open to applicants either entering or continuing an undergraduate program at a college, community college, or university. The only other requirements are that the applicant must be a city of Boston resident and must have some past or present connection with the Nazzaro Center programs, the longer the better, going back as far as the toddler program up to the present. Awards will be based on these three main criteria as well as responses to a few essay questions on the application.

Applications are available at the center or via e-mail and can be returned online or by traditional mail. The deadline for submission is Friday May 5 at 5 pm and awards will be announced shortly thereafter. There will also be an awards ceremony sometime in early June. Award amounts will range from $2,500 to $7,500 and checks will be made out to the school, no exceptions. To request an application to be either mailed or e-mailed to you, contact the center at 617-635-5166  or NazzaroCenter@aol.com.
