The North End’s elected State officials were sworn in on Wednesday, January 4th as the new legislative session gets underway at the Massachusetts State House.

State Representative Aaron Michlewitz took the oath for the 5th time in the House of Representatives. Rep. Michlewitz is a lifelong North End resident representing the Third Suffolk District, comprised primarily of the North End / Waterfront and South End neighborhoods with parts of Beacon Hill, Chinatown and Downtown Boston.

Also sworn in on Wednesday for the second time and for his first full two-year term was State Senator Joseph Boncore. Sen. Boncore hails from Winthrop and represents the First Suffolk and Middlesex district including Boston’s North End / Waterfront, Beacon Hill, East Boston as well as Revere, Winthrop and parts of Cambridge.
