Winter on the Wharf kicked off today with the opening of the ice skating rink under the Rowes Wharf arch and rotunda at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Hosting the event were Billy Costa and Jenny Johnson with BHH General Manager Jonathan Crellin cutting the ribbon. A skater from the Skating Club of Boston performed the first skate followed by a session of free skating for the public.
The Rotunda Rink is 80 x 30 feet and will be open M-F 3-8pm and 10am-8pm on weekends through February 28, 2014. Rates are $10 for adults and $5 for children (under 5 free). Skate rentals and lockers are available for an additional cost ($10 adults, $8 children).
