The North End / Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) decided to “table” the renewal application by VPNE Parking Solutions at 181 North Washington Street. The parking lot company manages a 7-space outdoor parking lot on the former service station property at the intersection of Endicott Street and North Washington Street.
Residents raised several concerns with the lot’s operations including the overcrowding of cars and parking on the sidewalk, especially during Boston Bruins and Celtics game nights. NEWRA’s Zoning, Licensing & Construction Committee noted that many of these conditions have been “at least temporarily corrected.” Logistics regarding the renewal of the lot were also in question. As such, the group decided to defer a vote until its May 9, 2013 meeting.
