NEMPAC and Old North Bring “Amore” Opera to the North End [Photos]

The North End Music & Performing Arts Center brought “Amore” and Opera to the North End at their recent Winter Concert Series Event in partnership with the Old North Church Foundation.

During Valentine’s week, the “Amore” Opera Concert featured arias, duets, and opera scenes about love highlighting works by composers including Bellini, Rossini, Puccini, Massenet, Verdi and Mozart. The free concert was open to the public on February 15, 2013 at the Old North Church with donations helping to support NEMPAC’s Spring programming.

Vocalists included  Sherri Snow, Alexandra Dietrich, Rebecca Rapoport-Cole, Abigail Krawson, Seth Grondin, Emily Tweedy, Mark Williams, Sal Atti, and accompanist Libor Dudas. The concert opened with a special performance by NEMPAC voice student, Kristina Riccio. After the concert, there was a meet and greet with the singers along with a wine & chocolates reception.
