The 92nd Annual Grand Religious Feast in honor of Madonna Della Cava will be held on August 10-12, 2012 on Hanover and Battery Streets in Boston’s North End. The celebration starts on Friday night at 7pm with the exposition of the image of the Madonna with a short procession. Entertainment highlights include Stardust on Friday at 8pm, The Classics on Saturday at 6:30pm followed by the Legendary Tavares at 9pm and Reminisce on Sunday at 8pm.
A Holy Mass will be held at St. Stephen’s Church on Sunday at 11am followed by the Grand Procession starting at 1:00 pm where the faithful will process the Image of the Madonna through the streets of the North End. There will be three marching bands, St. Alfio’s, Northeast Italian Band and Atlantic Brassman. The feast closes on Sunday at 11pm.
