Boat Fire at Boston Waterfront Marina at Long Wharf

A boat named “Equity” docked at the Boston Waterfront Marina adjacent to Long Wharf went on fire twice Saturday afternoon. As shown in the photos, the damage appeared relatively minor with some burn marks on the side of the boat. Nearby boats were not evacuated although observers say there was a large response by the Boston Fire Department to both calls.

Went "on fire"? Caught fire? Burned? How does it "go on fire"? Aye, it was a good little craft.

This was my cousin's boat. Unfortunately, despite the seemingly sound hull, it was totaled. Major damage below by both fire and fire fighters. It was an electric fire.

      Fiberglass hull? That's too bad.
