Euro Cup 2012 brought some of the 2006 World Cup fervor back to the North End’s Hanover Street in recent weeks. At least until Sunday, when Italy fans were disappointed as Spain won the European Championship, its third straight, 4-0 against the Italian team.

Six years later in 2012, it wasn’t the World Cup, but the European Championship still made Boston’s North End the place to be for Italian soccer fans.
