Celebrate Boston Harborfest’s 30th Anniversary at the Paul Revere House

During Boston’s Harborfest celebration, be certain to visit the Paul Revere House! Enjoy lively colonial dance music, tour Revere’s historic North End, or chat with the famous patriot while visiting the oldest house in downtown Boston. In summer, the Revere House is open daily from 9:30 AM to 5:15 PM. Admission is $3.50 for adults, $3.00 for seniors and college students, and $1 for children ages 5-17.

Artists in Residence Craft Workshops Begin July 5, 2011 at Christopher Columbus Park

The Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s annual ParkARTS program, generously supported by Bank of America, will once again be sponsoring a series of children’s arts and crafts workshops that give kids the opportunity to express their creativity while working on fun projects with local artists.

Children ages three to ten can enjoy watercolor painting, mask and jewelry making, treasure bottle creations, and more at the Artists in Residence Craft Workshops.  The workshops, supported by Comcast, are hosted by local artists from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Christopher Columbus Park.

North End Waterfront Health Recognized for Commitment to Enroll Uninsured Children

North End Waterfront Health successfully helped 1,479 children during the month of May, pledges to help parents keep their kids connected to benefits.

North End Waterfront Health was recognized today for its pivotal role in enrolling 1,479 previously-uninsured kids in health care coverage as part of a statewide challenge sponsored by Health Care For All’s “got coverage? Health Coverage for Kids and Teens” campaign. Through the dedicated efforts of NEW Health, Health Care For All’s statewide enrollment challenge exceeded its goal of insuring 500 children by working with 65 other organizations.

“Sharks!” Debuts at North End’s Eliot School

Through the generous support of National Grid, the New England Aquarium launched “Sharks!” its new mobile education program at the North End’s Eliot School on June 15th. Designed to help kids from ages five through eleven understand these mystical creatures, the shark kit includes ten interactive stations where kids will learn through hands-on experiments about shark vision, hearing, and size. The program even includes a 15 foot inflatable shark. Tom King, President of National Grid. was on hand to share the exhibit with this third grade class.
